When I first started writing there were several pieces of work that I didn't have a title for. Often these poems, thoughts, or reflections were written at the spur of the moment and reflected what I was thinking at the time. I called them my "random thoughts". Some of these thoughts were published in my book and others I decided to share as they are written. So enjoy my spur of the moment writing, reflections, and thoughts. Be sure to check back from time to time as you never know when I may share something new. Thanks.

Random Thought #1
The light illuminates your face and every minute detail is accentuated. The light pours out like a waterfall covering the smoothest surface. Your eyes glow with a newness of life. Within your eyes lie the key to your heart. What I would give to just hold a piece of your heart. I desire nothing from you but to love you with all my heart; to feel for you with my mind, body, and soul. What I would give just to love and receive the same amount of love in return. I want nothing more than that. © 2007 Keanna N Houston Random Thought #2 In a single moment you change my life and made me think in a new way. I look into your beautiful brown eyes and see something in you. We met by chance and you saw something in me and I thank you for that. But what did you really see? Did you see the 5'5 brown skinned girl with the big butt who could work it on the dance floor? No! You looked past that and saw so much more. When I look at you I feel at peace. When you smile I am overwhelmed by the joy I feel. You make me feel so good when I am with you. I can tell you all my hopes and dreams and you never criticize me or tell me I can't achieve my goals. You support me and care for me and care about me. I love you for all the little things you do. You are there to comfort me when I am feeling bad. You hug me and hold me when I am sad. You are so wonderful to me that I had to let you know, I am thankful for you and that is fo' sho'.
